Why It Works

One house, not three hotel rooms.

Wine weekends are better without the group splitting up after a day of tastings. One house means everyone lands in the same place — game room and a real living room instead of a hallway.

Room For Everyone

Five bedrooms and 9 beds — nobody's on an air mattress after a long day of tastings.

Somewhere To Land

The game room means the night doesn't have to end just because the tasting room closed.

Worth The Photo

CrossKeys alone looks like a detour through Italy, then a golden-hour evening on the deck back at the house — bring a camera.

While You're Here

Worth booking ahead.

Book 1–2 weeks ahead if the group wants to fit in a massage or facial between tastings.

The resort runs its own Virginia wine tasting featuring CrossKeys wines — $35/person, 21+, souvenir glass included. Books up, so reserve ahead.

A four-course dinner paired with wines from a featured Virginia vineyard, Thursdays at the Conference Center. 21+.

Yes, the wine slushies are real — the Artisan Galleries shop sells their Signature Sangria version, worth a stop.

Wine Weekend FAQ

Quick answers for planning your trip.

Do Cedar Escape guests receive a discount on wine tours?
Yes. Booked Cedar Escape guests receive an exclusive discount with Shenandoah Wine Tours, our local wine-tour transportation partner. See your Cedar Escape digital guidebook after you book for redemption details.
How do I arrange transportation through Shenandoah Wine Tours?
Shenandoah Wine Tours handles tour dates, scheduling and payment directly. Visit shenandoahwinetours.com or contact them to plan your day, and check your Cedar Escape digital guidebook for the guest discount details.
Can I book an in-home massage during my stay?
Yes. In-home massage is available through our local partner. You can learn more and send a request on our Add-Ons page. Availability varies.
Are transportation and massage services included in my reservation?
No. Wine-tour transportation and in-home massage are optional experiences arranged separately through our local partners, and are not included in your Cedar Escape reservation.
Do I need to reserve these experiences in advance?
We recommend it, especially for weekends and busy seasons. Availability is set by each provider, so the earlier you reach out, the better your chances. If you have questions, message us and we'll help.
Can we have a catered dinner at the house?
Yes — we can help arrange one, and we have exclusive partnerships with some local caterers and restaurants. See your CE Guide Book for details. Browse local caterers on our local guide or message us and we'll point you in the right direction. Catering is arranged and priced separately from your reservation.
How far are the wineries from the house?
Most are within about a 25-minute drive, and several sit close enough together to visit more than one in the same day. Wisteria Farm & Vineyard, in Page County, is a bit farther out.
What makes Cedar Escape perfect for a girls' weekend?
It gives old friends the space to make new memories—long conversations, loud laughter, slow mornings, and the kind of late nights nobody wants to end.
What if we don't want to plan every minute?
You don't have to. Some of the best moments happen around the kitchen island or piled into the movie room catching up. Bring your favorite people and let the weekend unfold.
